Meet the Chef

Spices is not only a competition of culinary skills and delightful taste, but also a mixture of nutrient values, flavours, colours, textures and aromas.

 

The Department of Mechanical Engineering invites all of you to showcase your culinary skills to be held on

 

Event Date:  09th October 2015 (Tentative Time: 9:00 PM to 12:00 PM)

Food will be served from 1:15 PM onwords

 

Last date of Registration is 8th October 2015 [before noon]

 

Venue:  Annapurna Annaprasadam Shed (Beside canteen), GRIET

 

RULES & REGULATIONS:

 

Stage 1:

  • Interested cooking aspirants (group not exceeding 4) need to upload a video of their favourite [Snacks/Breakfast items/Sweets/Confectionary] recipe on Spices’15 webpage.

  • Teams will be shortlisted for final round based on popularity of the video i.e. number of likes.

 

Stage 2: {FINAL ROUND}

  • Food Type for final round will be intimated to the selected participants 1 day before the event.

  • The recipe may include any of the following items Snacks/Breakfast items/Sweets/Confectionary (Only Veg)

  • Team shall be provided with space

    • Only Induction stove is allowed for cooking with a minimal ingredients will be supplied.

    • Additional ingredients are requested to get by the participants.

  • All preliminary processes should be completed in the space allocated in the shed only.

  • Participants should submit a hard copy of the recipe and nutritive values on the day of event.

 

Judgement criteria are based on Presentation, Taste and nutritive values of the dish prepared.

Winning Recipes will be published in the college website and magazine ‘Reflections’
